REFRESHING DRY WHITE
2020 Calvet Sauvignon Blanc (13.0%) (Haut-Poitou, Val de Loire AOC, France) $10/$40
The limestone, chalk and clay soils of this Loire Valley wine growing region yield a brilliantly refreshing white wine with citrus and herbaceous flavours that make it a wonderful match for shrimp, fish and vegetarian dishes, and a delightfully-uplifting starter sip on its own.
2018 Cave Spring Chardonnay Musqué (13.5%) (VQA Beamsville Bench, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario) $10/$40
This is a rare gem about which Canada can be especially proud, crafted from the distinctive special Musqué clone that adds floral aromatics to the typical Chardonnay citrus, tropical fruit, peach and light vanilla flavours. This is a crisp and refreshing pairing for the appetizers, especially crispy spring rolls and eggrolls, chicken curry sate and of course shrimp tempura. For main courses, this is a compelling match with SEN’s pad thai and chicken and salmon dishes.

2018 Aurelia Vişinescu Tamâioasa Româneasca (12.5%) (Dealu Mare DOC, Romania) $10/$40
The grape in this wine is believed to have originated in Greece and has been used in wine making for more than 2,000 years. An aromatic wine with peach, orange and honey tones, it has a hint of sweetness that brings out the full glory of spicy foods like General Tso’s chicken and coconut curry stir fry.
2018 Domanie de I'Idylle "Anne de Chypre" Roussette (13.5%) (Roussette de Savoie AOC, France) $12/$48
Also known as Altesse, the Roussette grape is believed to have been brought to the Savoie region when Anne de Chypre (Cyprus) became Duchess of Savory. This is one of our most exciting finds of recent years. The refreshing spice, pear and melon flavours of this gorgeous wine are sublime matches for all SEN's small plates and chicken, fish and shrimp dishes. A five star treat!
